Freedom.
I was waiting for this day. To indulge in freedom once again. Graduated, worked temporarily and now it’s here; time to do exactly what I want.

Young - but with the wisdom of forever - peaceful as the quiet beyond the sky, Lonely - yet sharing in a world of other people - seeing life through other people’s eyes - Afraid - but braver than tomorrow, wondering if what is will always be - borrowing your...
Tradition.
You know Christmas time is approaching when you hear the familiar noisy melodies seeping through the hallways of my Grandparent’s home. Christmas preparation within the family consists of traditionional ‘Kulkul’ making (a festive Indian sweet), Christmas tree + decorations and the inevitable eccentric antics amongst the cousins. I am blessed. A selection of my images taken today of my extended...

Reflection.
Image caption: Peaceful. Me in bed. (By Nadia)
All those years –
Looking for happiness
In someone else –
Never quite daring
To search my own soul
In fear of what I might find –
Then peace where I least expected
The surprise of finding
I’m not as bad as I thought.

Body of Work 1: Home – Diversity
“What does home mean to one?” As diversity within society inevitably results in varying analysis on perceptions and meanings of ‘home’, this allowed me to explore personal attributes conveyed through individual’s surroundings.

Body of Work 2: Home – Unknown
Home is a broad theme that incorporates profuse amounts of people’s lives whether they are viewed occupying their personal space or are absent; information can be appreciated...

“The secret of the world is this: the world is entirely circular and you will go round and round endlessly, never finding what you want, unless you have found what you really want inside yourself. When you follow a star you know you will never reach that star; rather it will guide you to where you want to go. It’s a reference point, not an end in itself, even though you seem to be...
Collaboration of Celebrations
Sydney: Snaps. Boobs. White sheets. Bites. Bruises. Play. Fight. Play. A trip to commend my graduation, Sophia’s eighteenth, Nadia’s advertising awards. It wasn’t ’schoolies’ per se. There were only three of us. Though I’d rather have very few, but true friends. They are hard to come by; I am very lucky.

Life is one big picture.
Life is like photography; we use the negatives to develop..
Why do I photograph?
The word “photograph” is based on the greek “phos” and (graphê) = “drawing with light”. It’s more than that to me.
Photography is my form of expression; it is the most unique language existing to me. I have known this since I got hold of a disposable camera at the age of 7. Photography...

I learnt the truth at 17.
April 16 2009
Only my mother calls me by my full name Charlotte; yet I am known to all as Charlie Brophy. I would say some may recognise me by some sort of personal characteristic such as my ‘permanent’ red nail polish or my echoing voice. You may possibly remember me by effervescent personality or my painfully loud laugh. Maybe even my unnecessary and frequent tendency to overuse the word...
